Agricultural Grants

The purpose of the grant program is to assist and perpetuate agriculture on Martha’s Vineyard. The society was organized in 1858 and is funded by contributions from its membership as well as annual community events.

The Martha’s Vineyard Agricultural Society announces their fifth annual grant awards. The recipients are: The Sewing Circle, Fred Lucas, Susie Middleton & Roy Riley, Edward Child, Monica Miller, Dr. Connie Breese, Devan Greene, Jeffrey Munroe and Island Alpaca.  For information please call 508-693-9549

Scholarship Fund

The Martha’s Vineyard Agricultural Society has, for many years, offered a scholarship to graduating seniors. Cushing Amusements contributes $3,000.00 to the fund annually.

In order to qualify, the student must be pursuing a degree in agriculture, horticulture, aquaculture, environmental studies, land conservation, veterinary medicine, culinary arts, or related studies.
